Progress Reports Information

On November 18 and November 19, we will be holding our virtual Parent-Teacher Interviews.  Information on booking these interviews though Edsby has been previously shared with families.  Parents-Teacher Interviews and Reports Cards are part of the ongoing communication from our school to support students and we trust that you are able to connect with your child’s teacher.

Your child’s Progress Report Card will be distributed electronically the week of November 15, using their GAPPS accounts.

The Progress Report provides you with information about your child’s general progress in working toward the achievement of the curriculum expectations across subject areas.  The Report Card has only the following Ministry provided indicators:

Progressing with Difficulty
Progressing Well
Progressing Very Well

As typical, not all strands or subjects may be taught or assessed by this time or in this term. This year, reintegration into the school environment may take additional time, and the early part of the school year may focus on mental health, well-being and the development of a safe, inviting and inclusive learning community.

For all Progress Reports, our board will include the following statement provided by the Ministry of Education: “This reporting period reflects learning that has occurred in a modified learning environment as required by Public Health guidelines. Ongoing communication with your child’s teacher will provide additional information pertaining to student progress throughout the term.”

Overall, Progress Reports provide you information about your child’s achievement during the first part of the term.  We hope that this report will encourage your child while supporting conversations about learning at home.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact the school office.
