BGPS F2F and EVS Families … Holiday Shopping? We’ve Got You Covered!

With a number of holidays ahead, you may have some gift shopping on your to-do lists!  We can help make things a little easier with two upcoming promotions.

While we’re not able to host a traditional book fair, this year we’re adapting to our changing needs with a Virtual Book Fair to provide an opportunity for our students and families to experience the joy of reading together.  So save the date! Our Scholastic Virtual Book Fair will run from November 16th through November 27th.

Starting November 16th you can simply follow our school’s Virtual Book Fair link where you’ll be able to shop, watch videos about popular new titles and preview some of the featured books.  For a sneak peek of some of the offerings, please see the Virtual Book Fair flyer.

Your investment in your reader also helps our whole school. All purchases earn Rewards that can be redeemed for books and Education Resources for our school’s classrooms and library.  Happy reading!

But what about gifts for others?  This year, please consider helping us raise funds by using FundScrip, which is a fundraising program that lets you raise funds simply by purchasing gift cards for your every day shopping (i.e. groceries, gas, gifts and household items). When you purchase a $100 grocery gift card, you receive the $100 card, but in addition, a percentage is donated to our fundraising campaign.  It’s like getting free money and all you have to do is change your method of payment to gift cards!

With over 250 popular retailers to choose from, there’s certain to be a gift card that’s perfect for you … or gift cards that would make for great gifts.  FundScrip is now open and will remain open for throughout the school year as you might wish to purchase gift cards.  Simply visit our school’s page at to get started.  (The most profitable ways to make purchases online for the school are no fee options, such as Electronic Funds Transfer or setting up an Online Bill Payment.)

We recognize that these may be challenging times for some of those in the community, and we wish to share that we have no urgent fundraising need.  While we certainly welcome community members taking part in these opportunities, we emphasize first and foremost wellness for all Bayview Glen P.S. families this holiday season.  With monies raised, we will continue to invest in technology, team uniforms, outdoor classroom enhancements, student program enhancements and community events.

A very happy holidays season ahead to everyone!
